EXPERIMENT: Skittles Rainbow?
Crazy Skittles Rainbow | Diffusion Science Experiment for Kids

Hey Everyone and welcome back to the lab.
In this video we experimented with Skittles and hot water to learn about diffusion about create a crazy Skittles rainbow on a plate!
You'll Need:
Skittles(1 large bag)
White Non-paper Plate
Warm Water (1 cup)
First take the skittles and line them up around rim of a white plate.
We found that we had better results if we grouped 3-4 Skittles of the same color together.
You can create a pattern of Skittles colors or just line the skittles up to create different shapes.
After you have the Skittles lined up on the plate, pour warm water over the Skittles and watch as the color dissolves from the candy shells and travels toward the center of the plate.
Here are a few questions to think about while trying the Rainbow Skittles science experiment:
Can you explain why the colors moved to the center of the plate?
Does the water temperature effect the rate of diffusion?
