Another printer revival - Will it come back?
Yes. Almost instantly. Once it had paper in it, it was printing characters like nothing was wrong. Someone just installed the cable for a new print head incorrectly and it was held together with tape, which was catching on the carriage mechanism and the bottom of the ribbon cartridge. Other than that, it was 100% okay, even the ink ribbon was still alright after the better part of 2 decades in pretty pathetic conditions.
I want to do more of these but first I need printers that don't actually work correctly! I will find some, given time. No crappy modern deskjets or anything, though.
