El Puente de Occidente, denominado así por estar localizado en el occidente del departamento de Antioquia, Colombia, es un puente colgante que comunica los municipios de Olaya y Santa Fe de Antioquia, al oriente y occidente del río Cauca, respectivamente. En su momento fue considerado
el séptimo puente colgante más importante de la época. Originalmente era el más largo de todo el subcontinente, y es allí donde radica su importancia histórica y cultural, siendo en su momento pieza clave en el desarrollo de la región y del país. Además, La obra es fiel testimonio de la extraordinaria
visión vanguardista de su diseñador, el ingeniero José María Villa, así como del más avanzado quehacer técnico y científico de la época. Su construcción se realizó entre 1887 y 1895.

The Puente de Occidente, named for being located in the western part of the department of Antioquia, Colombia, is a suspension bridge that connects the municipalities of Olaya and Santa Fe de Antioquia, to the east and west of the Cauca River, respectively.
