TCOT18 sign: Googly eye pupil motor - bipolar magnetic sensing
Alternating North and South poles mean you can tell direction (useful as the motor clutch will slip at times). Tried two IR reflective sensors (offset for quadrature encoding) but didn't like the look of the reliability in very harsh conditions.This is looking a whole lot more robust; can encase magnet and sensor in glue and dust no prob
