LX16A servos disassembly
I opened up an LX16A and it seems pretty simple and could have its hardware upgraded.
I wonder if the motor and gears could be replaced with a higher voltage motor and lower gearing ratio so we can use it for bigger and faster robots. (instead of having to use an odrive and brushless motor- which is much much more expensive - 12 motor control for an odrive will cost £1000+)
The parts I would keep are the UART bus, encoder and H bridge. Looking at the size of the LX16A's motor its clearly underpowered for very fast or large robots any bigger than a cat. I want to upgrad LX16A from a 10W to a 30W device...
