Quests were added in the Journey to Un’Goro expansion as a way to reward classes for building a certain kind of deck. 1 mana cards always available in your initial cards – with the option to switch them if you need something else – each quest has a prerequisite that needs to be completed as the match progresses, your progress trackable by you and your opponent. The rewards for completing them are powerful minions, spells or weapons with match-changing battlecries which can turn the tables or secure victory. Some quests proved more popular then others and the warrior one had a long stint as a popular choice.
Nowadays you sometimes see it around as part of a baku warrior deck, designed to stack armour and control the board until they can use the reward from the quest to crush their opponents. I quite like the quest myself but I’ve always looked at it from a different angle and so, I present to you my take on the quest warrior which has a few things which give it that dash of me which loses me more matches then I win, most likely. Still, I quite like it and it does very well against certain types of opponent, especially with my little additions.
