USA MMA Team Training Camp at UFC
Our Head Instructor, John Wai is one of the USFL Coaches for the USA MMA Team. USFL hosted a training camp/tryouts at UFC Headquarters in Las Vegas to find the best fighters for next year’s USA Team to compete at the IMMAF world cup held in Belgrade, Serbia.
This tournament will have some of the best amateur MMA athletes from across the globe compete for the spot of amateur world champion and Team USA is looking to prepare itself for this tournament in February.
This training/tryout camp consisted of 6 hours training days with 3 sessions per day. Within that time frame, team USA coaches shared techniques on striking, grappling, wall work and mindset. They gave the athletes drills and techniques to practice and apply to see which athletes would be best suited to represent our nation.
Only one fighter for each weight division so everyone had to be at the top of their game.
We are excited to see what Team USA is capable of in this year’s IMMAF World tournament.
