SmallRig has just introduced the U60 microphone which is 4 mics in one. It has switchable pickup patterns for cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional (front and back) and stereo. This makes it useful in a wider variety of situations than a mic that is just cardioid. A good combination of features for voice recording, interviews and music recording.
Overall it has enough directionality so you don't have to have it right in your face to get quality audio, so it's good whether you want the mic in-shot or far enough away to be invisible.
I am using it to record voice overs for some of my tutorials on Virtual Production/Unreal engine and other video productions.
To see a lot of the tools and gadgets I use all in one place, check out my page on Amazon. As an amazon affiliate I earn a little money to support the channel if you order from these amazon links, there is no extra cost to you.
