This is the first project in a series of upcycling videos. In this video I explain what happens when a a drive is "reset to factory" from within an operating system, and how that enabled hackers to recover data. From that I then show how to erase the entire drive to prevent data recovery. And lastly show from the use of a data recovery application that there is nothing on the drive.
The program used to erase the drive is called erAse, which used to be easily found online; however appears to have been removed.
