This talk will be delivered by Jack Murrell. Jack is a Game Design Lecturer with industry experience ranging from start-ups to AAA projects, they have worked with both students and companies to bridge the gap between education and game development. Currently, they teach Game Design at Sunderland College, specializing in Unreal Engine, and offer hands-on experience in prototyping, mechanics, and game systems. They are passionate about advancing the next generation of game designers, leveraging their expertise in game theory, player motivation, and strategic depth to inspire innovative design.

In this talk Jack will explore the fundamentals of game theory and how its principles can influence game design and strategy to create engaging and balanced gameplay experiences.
