This season, Kirk and Marianne are joined by Ravens Legends Femi Ayanbedejo and Dennis Pitta every week to discuss Sunday’s game, plus everything else happening with the team and across the NFL.
The Ravens made their way to Cleveland for an AFC North bout against the Browns. On paper, this was thought to be a one-sided affair as Baltimore was rolling on a five-game tear while Cleveland sat at 1-6 fresh off of a season-ending injury to their starting quarterback, Deshaun Watson. Stepping in for Watson was former No. 1 overall pick, Jameis Winston, who had the daunting task of pulling off an upset over Lamar Jackson’s Ravens. To the surprise of many, the game featured a closely contested battle with frequent lead changes. Baltimore’s sloppy play kept the Browns within reach late in the fourth quarter, and Winston made the most of his opponent’s inconsistency as Cleveland took a five-point lead with only a minute left in the game. The Ravens were unable to pull a rabbit out of the hat on their final drive as they watched their winning streak come to an end in a shocking 29-24 loss.
