Vintage Gilbert Calpe Mantle Clock
This Gilbert Calpe Mantle Clock was made in Winsted, Connecticut by the Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Company. I am not certain of the date, but believe that it may date to as early as 1885. The Gilbert Clock Company made clocks from the early/mid 1800s until the around 1930 on beyond under different ownerships. This clock features a mechanical clock movement with a pendulum and hourly chimes. I has a solid wood frame and a glass door with a curtain design on it.
