The bandsaw is a stationary tool for your shop with a lot of utility. It can cut curves and angles on flat wood, it can be used to rip rough logs or lumber or even to make veneer. Woodworkers and those doing trim work in construction find them indispensable. Setting up a bandsaw, though, can be tricky and sometimes frustrating if you get on the wrong track.
