Concept of Feedback amplifier: If a certain portion of the output signal is extracted using a network and mixed with the input signal, then a significant change occurs in the amplifier characteristics. There are two types of feedback: negative and positive. If the gain of the amplifier reduces after the application of feedback then it's negative feedback. If the overall gain increases then it's positive feedback. Negative feedback improves stability and is widely used in amplifier circuits, whereas positive feedback leads to unstable systems and designs oscillators or waveform generators.
