Imam Jafar Sadiq (RA) was not only a great Islamic scholar but also one of the most influential scientists and intellectual figures in history. He was born in 702 AD in Madinah and belonged to the respected family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His knowledge covered many fields including chemistry, astronomy, medicine, mathematics, philosophy, and natural sciences.
He is especially famous as the teacher of Jabir ibn Hayyan, who is known as the Father of Modern Chemistry. Many scientific principles related to chemical reactions, elements, and laboratory methods were developed under Imam Jafar Sadiq’s guidance.
