There’s a fine line between taking influence from other creative works and flat out stealing ideas. Often times movies, tv shows, anime, and video games take minor ideas from other works in the form of subtle homages or references, but every once in a while we get works that borrow an enormous amount of influence. What’s even more surprising is that these 10 works managed to do this and get away with it! In this video I cover my 6 favorite examples of creative borrowing as well as 4 examples of when the original work strongly outclassed the copies.
