Double Team 5: Amazon Prime, McAfee & Arlo Support Scammers
With successful take downs from various telecoms, the team and I decided to give it another shot. Through manual reporting, the team and I managed to get some 29 numbers shut down. This included 800 numbers and various Text Now call back numbers. Some of the numbers were still live after weeks of prank calls and zero responses from the carriers. We decided it would be better to supply definitive evidence with our next batch of emails and this proved to be the deciding factor. The most Posh of them all, @BeaHindebars still had a large list of numbers that needed extra attention. That list became significantly smaller.
We also manged to snag and get several Any Desk Id's banned from various scammers. For the Amazon scammers, this proved to be too much and they shut down their operation for the day. Before they shut down their operation, while I was in the process of acquiring the Any Desk ID, the scammer that I spoke to was driven insane when I kept giving him the wrong ID number. His colleague would later pick up on this and introduce himself as "Bob" and he would later ask me what my real name was.....
One of my colleagues also received calls from a pair of McAfee scammers who were also impersonating Norton. Through abuse email reports, their entire operation was ruined as literally all of their numbers were terminated for fraud by the carriers. To add salt to their wounds, they had the misfortunes of having to deal with me until that happened.
And of course, the reoccurring pests that are the Arlo scammers returned but in a much weaker form. Dumb as a rock and ill-tempered, their remaining numbers were also terminated by the carrier with the final one being ditched after they realized it was me calling them back again.
