Medication Aide Program 2023
This Medication Aide Program prepares students to safely administer medications in specific settings or to assist in client self-administration.
This class includes lecture, skills lab, and clinicals. Students will be able to facilitate or assist the client with administration of insulin, prepare for safe administration of medications to clients in assisted living facilities, maintain aseptic conditions, understand basic pharmacology, follow appropriate procedures for documentation and much more! Computer/internet access is required.
Pre-requisites: You must provide documentation of successful completion of a VA Board of Nursing approved Nurse Aide program along with health insurance to register. The certification exam must be taken at a PSI testing center which costs $70 and is not included in tuition.
