This video was originally slated for release on Jan 1st; I recorded and since I was about to leave on a trip, I thought I could edit and upload it while away. But when I reached, I realized the MIDI I'd recorded was of a previous practice take and I'd mistakenly deleted the one from my final take. So I had to wait to get back and record and edit everything again, hence the delay.
About the anime, Angel Beats! was a true masterpiece and one of the many reasons was the amazing music in it. Brave Song, despite being used in the show to comedic effect, holds a bittersweet quality to me that I always wanted to convey on the piano. And this arrangement by Animenz (one of his og covers that got super popular) with its polyphonic voicings yet a simple structure, does that perfectly.
