The UNCTAD Internship Programme is intended for students who at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above), whom if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
Internships are intended to promote a better understanding of trade and development issues among students and to provide them with insight into how UNCTAD attempts to find solutions to these problems. Internships are not remunerated. The acquisition of the necessary visas, travel costs and arrangements, and living accommodation are the responsibility of the interns or their sponsoring institutions.
Successful candidates should be able to provide proof of enrolment in an appropriate degree programme, proof of medical insurance coverage (valid in Switzerland), and a certificate of good health.
