In this video, I'll explain you what is a matte box and why filmmakers use this device. It's very handy to control the light (Especially if you're shooting against the light source) and it looks cool! Now you're a filmmaker lol.
P.S. I forgot to mention the issues of this matte box. Despite the fact, it's a great device for my purposes, but the screws are getting loose very easily, so you need to tighten up them time to time.
