The BIGGEST mistake self taught developers make!
This is the BIGGEST mistake I personally see self taught developers make when they are trying to land their very first job in tech as a software developer.
Not researching your market is one of the biggest mistakes you can be making if your goal is to be hired. Can't even begin to tell you the number of times I have been on a call with someone and the thought never crossed their mind then when we research it together, we see that it isn't a marketable stack in their area. Then they feel defeated because of all the effort that they could have placed in that other area.
It is ok! Just have to shift momentum and get those new opportunities!
