▶ Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes, the youngest sibling in the Holmes family; a free-wheeling, strong-willed and boundary-pushing young woman who struggles to not only get her mother back but also to defy the societal norms for women in the victorian era. Like her brothers she is extremely intelligent, observant and insightful. While she does not get along with her eldest brother Mycroft, she does quickly form a close bond with her other brother Sherlock.
▶ Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, the second-oldest of the Holmes siblings. A private detective with a meteoric reputation, Sherlock cares deeply about his sister and unlike Mycroft, quickly forms a bond with his spirited and intelligent little sister. He later shows deep concern for her safety when she runs way. Largely due to the fact that his years of detective work has made him all too aware of the evils that haunts London. Unlike his brother, he understands that Enola is very different from other girls her age and doesn't agree with Mycroft's plan for her. He also becomes more open to Enola's point of view over time. True to his reputation, he is immensely intelligent with astounding observational skills and a penchant for solving mysteries.
▶ Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes, the eldest of the Holmes siblings and Enola's legal guardian. Though Mycroft is by far the smartest of the three siblings with unmatched deductive abilities, this is curtailed somewhat by his apathetic dislike of field work and emotional immaturity. He greatly disapproves of his mother's way of raising Enola, is somewhat cold toward her, and is more interested in shipping Enola off than getting to know her. He is determined to have Enola finish her education properly and become a proper lady of Victorian society.
▶ Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, the matriarch of the Holmes family. Eccentric, free-spirited and unconventional, Eudoria raises Enola to pursue her own path rather than that laid out for her by others and to redefine what it means to be a woman in society.
