佐渡島 : Don't miss visiting this underrated gem!
Sado Island is one of my favorite travel destinations in Japan, along with Okinawa and Miyazaki Prefecture. If you love nature, road trips, and cycling, Sado Island would be your perfect travel destination! I highly recommend renting a motorcycle or a car, as the island lacks a railway system and public transportation can be challenging. If you intend to visit Sado without private transportation, I recommend extending your stay by a few nights. Although Sado Island is relatively small, it is the 6th largest island in Japan, next to Okinawa.
