Online, June 23rd, 2022
For On Data And Design #21 «Visual Systems» we examined the structure of visual systems. By systems, we refer to components that have distinct properties and are related to one another. These properties can be implemented in graphics, data visualizations, or in code.
Dr. Martin Lorenz (Hamburg/Barcelona), has combined his practical experience (https://new.twopoints.net/), teaching and research at the University of Barcelona in the design manual for modern visual identities: «Flexible visual Systems» (https://www.slanted.de/product/flexib.... In this video Martin talks about his different approaches and use cases of Flexible Visual Systems – a new mindset for designers.
On Data and Design is an evening lecture series organized by the the Basel based studio for information design Superdot – visualizing complexity. The lecture series is designed to foster knowledge, community and exchange at the intersection of design and data practice. Our free, quarterly events feature two short talks with beer, snacks and good company. Currently On Data and Design events are running in Basel, Vienna and Berlin and have a growing community over 1500 engaged DataVizzers.
