Fabric GSM means the weight of fabric in grams per square meter area. So the higher the GSM, the higher the bulkier will be the fabric and vice versa, even they can be of the same construction.GSM stands for grams per square meter and is a standard measurement for fabric weight. The cutter allows us to cut out a perfect circle with an area of 100 cm, and the scale precisely measures the weight of the little fabric circle. We can then multiply that number by 100 to get the GSM of the fabric.GSM means grams per square meter. In knitting fabric, it is the main parameter. It is controlled by loop length. If loop length increases GSM will decrease and vice versa. It is measured by GSM cutter & electric balance.
