Michael Romeo is a true master at alternating heavy riffs and "turning pale" solos with intimate and thoughtful times based on arpeggios built on dreamy mood chords. Everything is embellished by Michael Pinnella touch: he gets straight where Romeo was pointing.
If in "Rediscovery (segue)" (from "V: The new mythology suite" by Symphony X) one of the two parts is missing the song is disassembled: the guitar arpeggio, with all its opening strings and various voicings, holds a synth solo (here arranged for guitar) that seems wanna talk.

Michael Romeo è un maestro nell'alternare riff pesantissimi e assoli da far impallidire chiunque chitarrista a momenti intimi e quasi riflessivi con arpeggi costruiti su accordi dal sapore "dreamy". Il tutto è impreziosito ulteriormente dal tocco di Michael Pinnella, che con la tastiera arriva dritto a dove Romeo stava puntando.
In "Rediscovery (segue)" (da "V: The new mythology suite", Symphony X) se una delle 2 parti viene a mancare il brano si smonta: l'arpeggio di chitarra, con tutte le sue corde a vuoto e i vari voicing, sorregge un solo di synth (in questo caso riarrangiato per chitarra) che sembra voglia parlare.
