Getting a tattoo of my dog healed me...
Hi Everyone!
First I just want to say a huge thank you to Jordan Lentz Tattoos ( / jordanlentztattoos ) for this tattoo. What I expected to be “just a tattoo” turned out to be the greatest gift.
I got my very first tattoo at the age of 43 and while I wish I got tattoos sooner, this ended up being perfect timing for my first tattoo. I got one of my Boston Terrier Monster. For 13 years she was by my side and was with me in some of the darkest but also best times of my life.
She was with me for my first long-term breakup (a 10-year relationship). She was with me in countless different apartments through the years. She was with me when I got my first huge promotion at work. She was with me when we bought our first condo, when I got married, and with me when we bought our first house. She was with me when my dad passed away.
And all the other thousand moments in between during our 13 years together. Sometimes she was the only one in the world who could cheer me up. Never mad and always happy.
Dogs truly are special and I’m so thankful to have imprinted her on me forever. Monster, I love and miss you every day but I’m glad I get reminded every day about the special bond we have.
