“Lt. Dan” Stout brings years of experience to the conversation. Dan retired as a Police Lieutenant and Paramedic after 25 years with the Gainesville PD in Florida. He served in various roles, including Field Training Officer, Paramedic, School Resource Officer, and 14 years as a SWAT Medic.
In episode 1 of TacMed Talks, Dan emphasizes that in critical emergencies, citizens often try to help but lack adequate training and equipment. To address this issue, something as simple as taking a Stop the Bleed course can make an incredible difference. Whether it's a mass casualty event or an accident during an everyday activity, proper training and equipment allow people to effectively render aid and save countless lives.
