Test Results: Uponor PEX-a in Riser Applications at Fleming College, Ontario, Canada
We wanted to understand how much PEX and copper piping moves in a real world installed environment and if there are any concerns with expansion and contraction, especially in Riser applications.
The results of these tests, outlined in the video, show how little 2" PEX pipe moved as temperature increased in an operating environment. The ¾" PEX pipe moved as anticipated but comparatively less than 1.1" per 100 feet per every 10°F temperature change.
