The efforts to create a collection of 3D seismic data to train a new generation of PhD students, despite the "red tape", and the "lean" times. Sacrificing the own scientific work to build a group and guide students to make the hard yards by themselves.
Joe Cartwright, former Director of the 3DLab at Cardiff University, where he built research partnerships with the petroleum industry to undertake fundamental research into the movement and entrapment of petroleum in the Earth’s crust.
