After "Tarot Funk" captured the journey towards his death and „Cosmic Disco“ his inner search and traveling through bardo after dying, „Voodoo Beat“ brings you a final chapter in the „Esoteric trilogy“ in which nemanja is trying to come back from the land of the dead through the voodoo power of – love!
„Voodoo Beat” has been written as the (partial) musical retelling of the famous myth of Orpheus and Eurydice while also pulling inspirations from the two movies: „Orpheus“ (Jean Cocteau, 1950.) and „The Black Orpheus“ (Marcel Camus, 1959.).
Heavily inspired by the Afro-Colombian rhythms, Caribbean dub sounds and Tropical exotica, „Voodoo Beat“ tells a story in which nemanja is possessing the dreams the of his former lover, a voodoo priestess, to persuade her to descend into the world of the dead and bring him back into the world of the living. When she finally arrives – she falls in love with the devil – leaving nemanja drifting on the edge of both worlds.
It is now up to you to help nemanja transcend into our world by playing this record and be possessed by nemanja's spirit! The more you allow yourself to be possessed by the spirit of nemanja – the sooner nemanja will be resurrected!
