This is a demonstration of a filmmaking process called Virtual Production.
In this workflow, LED screens surround the set displaying dynamic, photo-real digital backgrounds prepared in advance. The Unreal Engine, a powerful real-time 3D creation tool, drives this process. The camera movement is tracked live, simulating natural parallax effects. Lighting is often provided by the LED walls and changes to the environment can be made on set using practical props in the foreground and in the background via the Unreal Engine using 3D scans of existing props. It's a game changer for filmmakers, offering infinite possibility for locations and collaborative decision-making during the shoot.

Where you may have seen something similar:
The LED wall used by Lucasfilm to create realistic backgrounds in their TV series, such as “The Mandalorian”, is known as "The Volume". Formally called Stagecraft, it’s 20 feet tall, 270 degrees around, and 75 feet across — the largest and most sophisticated virtual filmmaking environment yet made.
