Stability
Relentless I chased my roots turned to hold,
Despite the heart, then faded and cold.
Yet trace my memory, O carrion wing,
Blackest of leaves your feathers they bring.
At a glance I see my former past,
Where once I was, a hollow cast.
This body, this shell, a remnant of vice,
Earned to shed apart before the Christ.
Peace absolved myself as a whole,
Now set to shine the light, my goal.
So widen my gaze beyond this broken world,
For here I tread, unbound, unfurled.
God, stronger I am and stronger I will,
For I be forged by fire and steel.
Remained I am forever to persist,
And brush against the leeches they kiss.
