I was unable to find much on the Monkey Mash, whether the song or the dance. I kept getting clips from the video game Gorilla Tag, and I don’t think that was it.
This music seems to be a mashup of the country folk songs “Oh, Give Me a Home) and (Streets of Laredo). I find this extremely interesting to find folk songs as part of a “modern” 1960s scene.
Anyway, I just don’t have that much information on it.
