Why I'm no longer playing Genshin Impact
I decided to make a video to address something that people often ask me. I poured thousands of hours in Genshin Impact, but as times goes by I've realized that my enjoyment of the game took a massive hit. It was not cause by boredom, but rather by the constant introduction of new game mechanics that instead of keeping the game "fresh" made it feel like a convoluted mess to me. Patch after patch, the aspect of the game that I've always enjoyed the most (the exploration) started to feel like a choir. With my free time being extremely limited, as well as the storage on my phone being in a less than ideal situation, I had to cut something. For me this is a "see you later" rather than a "farewell", as I'm sure that eventually I'll want to experience the story progress, but it's not something that is going to happen soon. I absolutely do not regret playing the game, I just wish the game direction took a more linear path rather than introducing excessively convoluted stuff just to give us the feeling of having something new to do.
