In this video, I demo a prototype of a desktop application my team and I are building to make self-hosting a Minecraft Java Edition server fast, free, and easy. No port forwarding, no monthly hosting fees, and no server list wait times.

Our app walks you through a simple, beginner-friendly GUI that sets up a server locally on your own machine, then automatically generates a public link for your friends to join, all in a matter of seconds.

This project is designed as an alternative to platforms like Aternos and Minehut, giving players full control, faster performance, and no queue times. Unlike paid hosting providers, there are zero costs, just your own computer and internet connection.

🚧 Note: This is an early-stage prototype. All visuals, UI elements, and performance stats are subject to change as development continues. The goal is to provide a polished experience for everyone from casual users to modpack pros.

🌟 Why Self-Hosting?
• Free forever – no hosting subscriptions
• Full control over world files, mods, and server configs
• Instant friend access with DNS tunneling (no IP exposure)
• Faster load times vs queue-based services
• Great for playing with friends, testing modpacks, or small LAN parties

If you’ve ever struggled with setting up your own Minecraft server, been frustrated by waiting in line on Aternos-style platforms, or just want more customization, this app is for you.
