Do you have what it takes to photograph in the studio? In this short 2-minute video, learn how to create amazing studio portraits with 2 different and dramatic lighting techniques--Split and Monster lighting. Photograph carefully, these techniques are very dramatic and not to be used by just anyone.

In Split Lighting, the main light is placed almost to the side of the model, creating dramatic side lighting with a sharp contrast between light and shadow. Using a reflector with Split Lighting softens the effect and can be adjusted for different looks, from soft to harsh. Monster Lighting involves placing the main light low and pointing it upwards, inspired by horror film aesthetics, creating a unique and sometimes spooky or glamorous effect. Both lighting setups offer different styles and can significantly impact the final portrait's mood and appearance.
