The first big EU child participation meeting
60 children and teenagers from across the European Union came to Brussels in June to share their views on some of the subjects that matter the most to them.
During this first General Assembly of the EU Children’s Participation Platform, the children discussed their concerns and ideas on children’s rights, child poverty, a fairer and greener Europe, child protection and how adults can better consult children.
Over the two days together, the children met with EU officials and country representatives and made lots of new friends. They also visited the European Parliament, went on a walking tour of the city centre, and of course – tasted Belgium’s fries and chocolate!
