Learning in Monitoring and Evaluation is a critical part of M&E. These are the competences covered:
Explain how M&E can provide opportunities for learning and project improvement
Describe how one might delineate to project staff the gap between targets set at the onset of the project and the data collected during implementation
Explain factors that hinder knowledge sharing and learning
Identify factors that can support knowledge sharing and learning
Explain how reports and evaluations should be used by a project to enhance performance
Recognise the importance of M&E to decision-making, planning and organisation learning
Understand the need to actively encourage knowledge sharing and learning
Know how to formally respond to project inquiries, M&E, and/or evaluations findings and recommendations
Describe how to embed a culture of learning as part of a M&E System
Describe the importance of linking the Theory or Change, Implementation plan and M&E findings throughout the duration of the project
Identify, articulate and support strategic use of data for programme management and improvement
List methods to dissiminate data findings to key stakeholders
List methods of dissiminating data findings to the communities served
Describe key components of a sustainability plan
