The Headington Shark - Banned From Airbnb (Not Yet!)
In this interview with "Oxford Brookes TV" as part of their university degree shows, the owner discusses the city council's recent attempt to ban the house from being open to the public through short term letting. The house is still available to members of the public with an appeal pending.
The Shark House consists of a 25ft fibreglass and steel sculpture of a shark, formally titled “Untitled 1986”, crashing through the roof of a house in suburban Oxford. The sculpture is an international symbol of planning law defiance, as well as being a piece of anti-censorship and anti-war protest art.
