Diversity in Clinical Trials
The underrepresentation of minorities in clinical trials leads to limited data regarding how they experience multiple sclerosis (MS) and respond to treatment. Only 18% of minority people living with MS have participated in a clinical trial. Our MS-UP initiative is focused on better understanding the phenotype and genetic characteristics in underrepresented populations and how that may impact disease severity and progression.
