Holzauction translates to wood auction, and the piece is about a boy who walks into a wood auction and is remarking how everywhere he turns, he sees something of interest. As he wanders around, he sees a pickpocket in action and he sees a lad asking a girl out right in front of her father. It’s like a dramatic version of a farmer’s market.
