Just wanted to share my experience with the R2 Trigger issue with Sony's PSVR2 and the warranty/repair process
Main Issue?
R2 Trigger button would not fully release, when released
How do I test this?
Use the gamepad tester. https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad
This will show what value the buttons should be at when released/pressed
Values should be:
Released ( -1.00000)
Pressed (1.00000)
If values are below 1.00000, its a high chance that button is not working correctly, which is a hardware issue
Overall had a great experience with the repair/warranty process. Did not spend too much time on the phone troubleshooting, and was able to get started on the return process
Overview of Warranty Process:
PS Support Online. Report Issue
Call PS Support. Troubleshoot (If cannot resolve next step)
Provide Serial Number (Once Verified/eligible for warranty)
Provide Name/Mailing address/Email
PS Support will mail you an empty box with pre-shipping labels
Package entire (PSVR2 Unit)
Drop off box at shipping courier (In my case, FedEx)
(Once delivered, allow 10 business days from PS Support to send repaired/replacement unit)
Email: PS Support will email you w/ tracking once shipped
Done!
