La Liga Matchday 26: Is the biggest underdog a giant-killer? Modrić the savior and Lunin the wall...
Matches of the 26th round of the 2023/24 Spanish La Liga season will take place from February 23 to 26.
It began on Friday with a match between Real Sociedad and Villarreal.
On Saturday, Valencia was scheduled to play Granada away, but the match was postponed due to mourning the victims of the massive fire in Valencia. On February 22, a fire broke out in a multi-story residential building in Valencia, killing 10 people and injuring approximately 15 more.
That same day, reigning champions Barcelona demolished Getafe, and Atlético Madrid drew with Almería.
The pivotal match of the round was scheduled for Sunday, in which Real Madrid snatched victory over Sevilla thanks to a brilliant save by Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
The tour concludes on Monday with Girona hosting Rayo Vallecano.
