tenor Ivanhoe - Musica
"Musica" in the original Swedish version of "Tonerna" is a musical declaration of love. Its composer Carl Leopold Sjöberg sent Erik Gustaf Geijer's poem "Tonerna" (1829) with a music sheet in 1892 to his beloved Sophie Abelin. It was only after the composer's death that it was published and the Swedish opera treasure Jussi Björling performed it. Since then it has touched the souls of generations in a subtle and tender manner. These tunes mix the autumn mist, the scent of fallen leaves, and the wind blowing with a warm and profound feeling that prevails. Words change but music and visions of love remain the same. Always.
And here is a new Italian version of "Tonerna": Music... Only you inspire me, only you can calm me down and warm me. I want to fly away with you!
