WHO IS THE FLEXO SYMBIOTE?
In the 1940s, scientists from the Williams brothers discovered a symbiote in a meteor. They called it living rubber and transformed it into a robot named Flexo to fight crime. On his first mission, Flexo saved his creator from being robbed. Flexo was then deployed to World War II against the Nazis. There, he met a time-traveling Eddie Brock and witnessed Dr. Doom slaughtering Nazis. Eddie realized he had caused Flexo to end the war prematurely. Afterward, Flexo was captured by the military and frozen in liquid nitrogen. Decades later, after thawing, Flexo was freed and encountered Dylan Brock and the Venom symbiote disguised as Iron Man. Flexo mistook them for Dr. Doom and attacked. Venom revealed his true form, and Flexo mistook them for Eddie. Venom was eventually forced to stab Flexo, severing his connection with the Hive-Mind symbiote, and carried him to safety through the sewers.
