Are you looking for a way to separate sound and cut out a portion from a video clip? Well, look no further. We show you how to do it for free using Clipchamp.
Upload or create your video within this free app. Add the video to the timeline and select it. Go to the sound icon on the right side of the screen. Click separate audio. You will see a separate bar for the sounds that appear under the video clip. Highlight the waveform bar. Find where you want to cut the sound and click the trim (scissors) option. Find the end point where you'd like to trim the sound and click the trim option again. Right-click the sound bite that you'd like to remove and click delete.
If you'd like to remove the entirety of sounds from the video, you can simply choose the waveform, right-click, and press delete. Your video will then be completely silent, and you'll have the option of dubbing over it.
