Meditation on Once in Royal David's City - Vidas Pinkevicius
Advent and Christmas is fast approaching so I have decided to start recording organ pieces for the upcoming season. This meditation on the beloved Christmas Carol "Once in Royal David's City" (IRBY) features the tune in the tenor with a soft reed. The right hand and pedals play an accompaniment figure with colourful arpeggiated chords. The gentle refrain helps to connect phrases of the hymn.
