Amazon has cut their commission payouts for their affiliates to point that in some cases it is not even worth continuing with the Amazon Associates programs. That being said, there are hundreds of better networks and programs available to affiliate marketers. One of the rules of thumb for affiliate marketing is to NEVER put all of your eggs in one basket.
Some of the bigger affiliate programs require you to have a website, so I highly recommend putting up a website for the niche you want to promote.
